Insurance
Insurance is an often neglected part of financial planning. However without protecting existing assets there is little point in generating additional assets if they are to be exposed through a lack of proper planning in the first place.
Ethos Financial Advisers aims to provide our clients with the appropriate level of insurance to provide you with greater structure and control over your financial affairs. The level of insurance (if any) depends entirely on your individual situation. Important factors that need to be taken into account include care of dependants, future income earning potential and your debt levels.
Insurance can be structured tax effectively through superannuation as appropriate and in personal names as appropriate. So the cost of the required level of cover may be less than you think. Professional insurance advice requires an in depth knowledge of the clients individual situation and also an understanding of the taxation and superannuation implications. It also requires impartial advice. Ethos Financial Advisers is accredited with a range of insurance providers such as AMP, AVIVA, AIG, CommInsure, Zurich and ING. We are not tied to any one provider and select the most appropriate product for the client after assessing individual requirements.
The most common forms of insurance are life insurance, income protection insurance, TPD (Total and Permanent Disablement) and trauma or crisis cover. Please find following an explanation of the different forms of insurance.
